Trockadero de Monte Carlo |
1983 The Trocks Masters of Parody By Dorothy Stowe Deseret News “We
are serious about comedy,” says Natch Taylor, artistic director of the Ballet
Trockadero de Monte Carlo, and that’s as close as you can come to pinning down
what makes this travesty company such a screaming comic success. The Trocks as
they are called far and wide have been carrying recherché ballet to the masses
for almost ten years and when they return to Salt Lake City’s Capital Theater
on November 8 and 8 sell out houses are predicted. Beefy, hairy men in tutus
have always been good for a laugh but the fact that the Trocks are amazingly
good technicians, and when their diligent efforts miss the mark by only one
hilarious hair, you have the stuff of masterful parody.

wonderful and talented Miss Coco Peru star of stage and screen (Girls Will Be

at a night club there called ICE. Unfortunately, she was given a bad check by a
man there named Jason. (I did not get his last name). I have tried to call
numerous times, but the mail box on that number is full. We spoke on Friday
Nov. 18th and he promised me a cashiers check overnighted for delivery Monday,
but nothing has shown up. The booking was made by J. Brett Hodson. I have left
him many messages and have had no response since he acknowledged the bounced
check on Friday November 18th. If any of you know these people, can you please
let me know another way of getting them to send me a check for Miss Peru's
performance. I would be forever grateful. I hope there is some kind person in
Salt Lake who will help me with my plea. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Michael Warwick, Manager to Miss Coco Peru

2008 Sting nets 14 arrests for
Jordan Parkway lewdness By Pat Reavy Deseret News Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008 WEST
VALLEY CITY — Another sting by police along the Jordan Parkway trail over the
weekend netted more than a dozen arrests. A total of 14 people were arrested
for investigation of lewdness during a sting operation that lasted between four
and six hours on Friday, said West Valley Police Capt. Tom McLachlan. The sting
was prompted by several complaints from people using the parkway who either
witnessed a lewd act being committed against someone else or were the victim of
a lewd act themselves, he said. The operation was primarily between 3100 South
and 3500 South. In most cases, arrests were made after undercover officers were
either propositioned by someone to expose themselves, actually had someone
expose themselves to them, or the officers witnessed someone exposing himself
to someone else, McLachlan said. Some of the indecent exposure incidents were
committed on random victims, others were not random, he said. McLachlan said 14
arrests after six hours of work is about average for this type of sting. "We
do these periodically because of the number of complaints," McLachlan
said. "Whenever we've done these, we've never not made arrests. We
appreciate the public informing us of the problems." In April, a sweep of
the parkway by West Valley police netted 12 arrests. Some of the people
arrested lived as far away as Kamas. One man who was arrested in connection
with committing a lewd act was 73 years old. In August 2007, a similar
operation resulted in 15 arrests for lewdness.
